This study aims to identify psychological stress and its relationship with the variables of school type, years of experience, and gender among secondary school principals in in Marib Governorate, Republic of Yemen. It also examines the variance in psychological stress according to school type (public – private), experience (less than five years – more than five years), and gender (male – female). To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted the descriptive-analytical approach. The study was conducted on a sample consisting of (32) schools. The results revealed that school principals experience psychological stress in five dimensions: (dealing with the Education Bureau administration, dealing with teachers, dealing with students, dealing with parents, and the economic situation). Furthermore, the study revealed statistically significant differences at the significance level of (0.05) in psychological stress attributable to the school type variable, in favor of private schools. No statistically significant differences were found at the significance level of (0.05) in psychological stress attributable to the experience variable. Finally, statistically significant differences were found at the significance level of (0.05) in psychological stress attributable to the gender variable, in favor of males.
