One of the famous Hadith issues among Hadith scholars is the issue of whether al-Tabai Al-Hasan Al-Basri heard from the great Sahabi Samra ibn Jundub or not. Hadith scholars are divided into groups: those who affirm that he heard from him, those who deny hearing from him, and those who affirm that he only heard from him one Hadith. In the light of this disagreement among Hadith scholars, the opinion in some legal issues is reflected by a certain opinion or the absence of an opinion, depending on the validity of the hearing or its absence. This study discusses the impact of al-Hasan›s narrations from Samra on the disagreement of jurists in the Book of Sales. The study discusses this topic in two sections: in the first section, a simple biography of both narrators is provided, followed by a discussion of the opinions of Hadith scholars on Al-Hasan›s hearing from Samra. The research favors the validity of the hearing. The second section discusses the issues on which the disagreement among jurists is based on the validity of this narration or its weakness. The study arrives at a number of findings, the most important one is that it is most likely that al-Hasan Al-Basri heard from Samra ibn Jundub “may Allah be pleased with him”, and the researcher explains the reasons for this preference. Another finding is that the disagreement on Al-Hasan›s hearing from Samra ibn Jundub has an impact on the opinions of jurists in legal issues, and the researcher mentions examples of this disagreement. The last finding is that Al-Hasan Al-Basri “may Allah have mercy upon him”, narrated six Hadiths from Samra ibn Jundub in the Book of Sales, some of which are ‹Hadith Hasan› and some are ‹Hadith Sahih›.
