Modern Administrative Trends and the Possibility of their Application by Heads of Academic Departments at University of Saba Region

The current study is aimed at identifying modern administrative trends and the possibility of their application among heads of academic departments at the University of Saba Region. The study uses a descriptive and analytical method. It also uses a questionnaire as a tool for data collection, consisting of 50 items distributed across five dimensions. The questionnaire was applied to a sample of 31 heads of academic departments selected through a random sampling method. The study arrived at several key findings. First, modern administrative trends and the possibility of their application among heads of academic departments at the University of Saba Region were rated very highly across all dimensions. Second, the overall mean scores for all dimensions were very high, indicating a strong level of agreement among the participants regarding the modern administrative trends and their potential implementation. Third, the field of willingness and readiness to adopt modern administrative trends is ranked first, followed by the impact of applying modern administrative trends on the performance of departments in the second place, and the field of factors influencing the application of these trends comes in the third place. The possibility of applying modern administrative trends is ranked fourth, and the field of awareness of modern administrative trends is ranked fifth. Fourth, all fields scored at a very high level. Fifth, the results also indicate that there were no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 significance level in the mean responses across all dimensions that could be attributed to the variables of academic specialization or years of experience. This suggests a strong alignment in perspectives among the participants. The study concludes with a set of recommendations and proposals that contribute to enhance understanding and implementation of modern administrative trends among heads of academic departments at the University of Saba Region.
