This study is aimed at identifying the reality of strategic planning in private hospitals operating in Aden Governorate. The research population consists of administrative leaders in these hospitals. Five private hospitals were selected as the study sample: Al Reyadah International Hospital, Al-Naqib Hospital, Aden German International Hospital, Al-Salam Specialized Hospital, and Cuban Modern Hospital. The sample included 59 individuals from these hospitals. The study uses both the descriptive and analytical approaches, and the questionnaire is used as the main tool for data collection. The results indicate a high level of strategic planning practices in private hospitals in Aden Governorate according to the perspectives of their administrative leaders. All dimensions of strategic planning demonstrated a high level of availability. The dimension of monitoring and evaluating the strategic plan ranked first, followed by strategic orientation, strategic plan formulation, strategic environmental analysis, and finally strategic plan implementation. The study recommends strengthening the ability of private hospitals to analyze the external environment through precise mechanisms for monitoring competitors, market trends, and emerging health developments, as well as developing clear performance measurement systems and quantitative indicators to assess implementation. It also recommends ensuring greater alignment between strategic plans and human and financial resources, in addition to enhancing internal communication to improve employee awareness of the vision and mission.
